As the first-generation daughter of Middle Eastern immigrants, I grew up caught between different definitions of identity. But I was lucky to have two distinct lenses on the world: my grandmother, a manicurist who taught me beauty is a ritual of self-care, and my father, a photographer who showed me how light and perspective can transform a single frame. Through them, I realized beauty wasn’t about changing who you are; it was about reinterpreting what exists and making it your own. Years later, navigating postpartum life put that philosophy to the test. With less time but a greater need to feel like myself, I craved products that were flexible and intuitive rather than rigid and prescriptive. These experiences led to anagram. Built around versatile, multi-use essentials, our formulas blur categories and simplify routines while leaving room for individuality.
